Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Jaya Bachchan's Remarks; Says She Taught 'Feminism' To The Film Industry

In the Parliament, senior actor Jaya Bachchan gave an arousing speech talking about people trying to tarnish the film industry over the debate of drug consumption by Bollywood stars. She stated that people are getting 'flogged by social media' and there are some people who are calling the industry a 'gutter'. It was previously that Kangana Ranaut had made the use of word 'gutter' to talk about Bollywood and drugs. Many lauded Jaya Bachchan's speech, however, Kangana Ranaut has now commented on it.

Taking to her social media, Kangana stated that she is the one who taught feminism to the film industry and that she decorated the industry with patritics, women-centric films. She stated that whatever she has achieved she has done it on her own without anyone serving her opportunities on her plate. Kangana wrote, "कौन सी थाली दी है जया जी और उनकी इंडस्ट्री ने? एक थाली मिली थी जिसमें दो मिनट के रोल आइटम नम्बर्ज़ और एक रोमांटिक सीन मिलता था वो भी हेरो के साथ सोने के बाद,मैंने इस इंडस्ट्री को फ़ेमिनिज़म सीखाया,थाली देश भक्ति नारीप्रधान फ़िल्मों से सजाई,यह मेरी अपनी थाली है जया जी आपकी नहीं।"

Jaya Bachchan in her speech had said, "People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that the government tells such people not to use this kind of language.”


Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut remained in the headlines because of her tiff with the Maharashtra Government. Parts of her office in Mumabi were demolished by the BMC.
